We Need Help – Please Back Our IndieGoGo To Move Our Studio & Rescue Shelter

We're working artists, accomplished in imagery, wood, carbon fiber and blown glass. We also run a rescue shelter for abandoned, orphaned and abused kitties who have come to us asking for help; providing them with a home, rehabilitation, needed medical attention ... and love. It's been rewarding and sometimes heartbreaking, but well worth every second and every penny. All of that is in danger...

Our Police Box Fridge – Refrigerate! Refrigerate!

All work and no play dulls the mind. For Halloween, Joy thought that it would be a great idea to dress up our refrigerator as a parody on a Police Public Call Box. It's a French Door, bottom roll-out freezer style, so the double door design of a Police Box fits right in. How to make it happen?

Making a Police Box Refrigerator

Police Box Fridge

I've turned my refrigerator into a Police Public Call Box. The doors look like the Police Box, the cap has the sign and a working light beacon, the ice/water dispenser is hiding behind the little phone door and it even makes a "whooshy" sound when the doors open!

Spherical Magic & The Basin Complex Wildfire – Days 76+

1/25/2009 2:35 AM

After preparing to save the studio from destruction, it appears now that we only saved it for the banks. Shortly following the above journal, that you may want to read first, it became widely known that the economy was tanking. We're in the midst of a cascade failure that, unless something positive happens really soon, will cost us our studio and the two large sculpture commissions still in process because we won't have anywhere to work; let alone the funds to complete them.

Fire’s “Over”, but NOT Out

6-24_plumes

6-24_plumesWell, after more than 60 days looking at the thick smoke and breathing the ash, the skies have finally cleared. I'm able to go back out without a respirator on and actually do some work! Our projects are so so far behind, it's ridiculous, but we've been working very hard on them to catch up
