We Need Help – Please Back Our IndieGoGo To Move Our Studio & Rescue Shelter

We're working artists, accomplished in imagery, wood, carbon fiber and blown glass. We also run a rescue shelter for abandoned, orphaned and abused kitties who have come to us asking for help; providing them with a home, rehabilitation, needed medical attention ... and love. It's been rewarding and sometimes heartbreaking, but well worth every second and every penny. All of that is in danger...

Sometimes, Foresight Is 20/20

In keeping with the Time Machine thread from the previous post, the philosophical question for you today is:

If you could travel back in time 10 years and sit down with yourself for 5 minutes, what would you say?

I know what I'd say. I would remind myself of a conversation I had 14 years prior with a friend in his Los Angeles living room one afternoon during one of my Shuttle Mission assignments for NASA Headquarters,

After preparing to save the studio from destruction, it appears now that we only saved it for the banks. Shortly following the above journal, that you may want to read first, it became widely known that the economy was tanking. Heavy smoke again. The first Chews Ridge firing took place this afternoon. Couldn't see with all of the thick smoke out there but there didn't appear to be any slop-overs outside the dozer lines that we do know are there. Shots of it will be up tomorrow. I've gotta get some dinner.

The 6" closed loop enhancement to the floor-standing air conditioner made a significant difference. No more partial negative pressure in the building due to running it. Any house leaks enough as it is without encouraging the flow from outside by forcibly expelling air, hot or otherwise. The fire in my nose is now extinguished, as long as I continue to wear my respirator when outside. We have to run the unit at night, as the local wind shifts to the south, bringing thick smoke all
